The big reveal of the Real Review’s annual top New Zealand list happened this month, with 185 wineries making this year’s cut from a total of 737 wineries across the country.

Blank Canvas performed exceptionally well, coming in at #23, up twenty-one places from an overall ranking of #44 in 2020. This position catapults Blank Canvas to the third highest ranked winery in Marlborough, just behind Riesling-focused Framingham and sparkling specialist No. 1 Estate.

The list is based on top-scoring wines amassed from recent tastings by the Real Review team (including Master of Wine Bob Campbell and Huon Hooke) and objectively sorted by an algorithm.
