Matt and Sophie recently had the pleasure of joining Tim Atkin MW on his Cork Talk podcast. Tim's four decades as an award-winning wine writer has naturally evolved into the digital space and his very popular podcast has over 150k downloads with a extensive global reach.
Tim created Cork Talk to open up thoughtful, in-depth conversations about the world of wine in a way that is both insightful and accessible. His aim is simple but important: to shine a light on leading winemakers and regions, explore the trends and challenges shaping the industry, and share knowledge in a way that resonates with both the trade and curious wine lovers alike.
It was the first time Tim had ever had two people on the show, (which he confessed was fun!) and the conversations we had traversed our backgrounds and how we each got into wine, as well as our approach and philosophy with Blank Canvas today.
Overall, the conversation with Tim offered a chance to reflect not only on our own journey, but also on the broader evolution of New Zealand wine. It was a thoughtful, energising discussion, and one we’re incredibly grateful to have been part of.
