We are thrilled to be named as one of the top 50 wineries in New Zealand by wine writer and academic Dr. Jo Burzynska for the second time running in this year's New Zealand Herald Viva Wine Awards. 

Burzynska tasted and considered hundreds of wine samples and wineries from around the country before coming up with her definitive list of the "most exciting wineries for 2024", selected for their ability to produce "truly exciting wine." 

Alongside the list of top wineries, she highlighted one wine from each producer that really stood out. We were delighted she chose our new release Blank Canvas Escaroth Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021 which was described as having "concentrated and plush black fruits that mingle with notes of cola violet, smoke and dried leaves," and that it was "...an opulent pinot noir tempered by a bright freshness." 

This release is one of first wines to sport the new Appellation Marlborough Wine neck label that indicates it's a certified wine guaranteeing provenance, integrity, authenticity and must adhere to quality standards.
